Daniel Z. Bisbing, 84, of Jackson Township, passed away Saturday morning, May 13, 2023 while at home under care of hospice. He leaves behind his beloved wife Gloria R. (Serfass) Bisbing with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Born on May 8, 1939 in Tannersville, he was a son of the late Walter and Edna (Bogert) Bisbing and a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Dan had worked for Rosen's Furniture as a deliveryman for many years, and he also delivered newspapers for the Pocono Record with his wife.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Dan loved to garden and take care of his lawn, puttering around the house and the occasional wood working project, but mostly he enjoyed the life that he and Gloria made together, preferring her company to anyone else's.
In addition to his wife he is survived by; daughter, Mardena Harbaugh and husband Robert of Pocono Pines; son, Daniel Bisbing and wife Terri of Belfast; four grandchildren, Cassandra Bisbing of Henryville, James Bisbing of Monroe, NC, Amanda Storm of San Antonio, TX, Robi Lynne Harbaugh of Pocono Pines; two great-grandchildren, Yanessa and Maya Maimone of Henryville; two sisters, Carolyn LaBar of East Stroudsburg, Norma Jean Williams of Florida; sister-in-law, Marjorie Miller and husband Steve of Jackson Township. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters..
The family would like to send a special thank you to the home medical team, Patty, Melissa, Kelley and Naubia for the exemplary care they provided, working hand in hand with Gloria over the last three-four years, giving Dan the best life possible despite his illness. They would also like to thank Marge for her many trips to the pharmacy, bank, and odds and ends grocery pick ups.
Cremation was private and there will be no services per his wishes.
In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances may be made to Animal Welfare Society of Monroe (A.W.S.O.M.) PO Box 13, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 or Parkinson's Foundation, www.parkinson.org.
