On May 10, 2025, Daniel Leo 'Danny' Dunham passed from this life at his home in Metairie. He was born in New Orleans on July 11, 1958 to Homer Leo Dunham and Nelda Dupuy Dunham, and was a lifetime resident of Airline Park. He leaves his parents, Leo and Nelda, and his five brothers and sisters: Cheryl Huff of Waveland, MS, Michael (Stacy) Dunham, Kevin (Diana) Dunham, Susan (Gary) Osorno, and Kristy Dunham; son, Christopher Dunham; grandsons: Ethan, Christopher, Hunter, and Landyn; many beloved nieces and nephews; his longtime companion, Suzanne Lea; as well as extended family members and friends.
Danny was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He attended John Curtis Christian School and East Jefferson High School. He had many friends and acquaintances and always enjoyed discussing sports, cars, and current events. He never met a stranger no matter where he went, and was easy-going and caring. He especially loved watching children playing sports and was an avid supporter of the many excellent park playgrounds in Metairie. He loved his family and friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.
