Darold E. Lewis, age 72, of Webster, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Rochester General Hospital. Born on January 15, 1953, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Darold was the son of the late Darold and Amelia (Parker) Lewis. He was a proud graduate of Mansfield Jr./Sr. High School.
On August 7, 1976, Darold married the love of his life, Kathryn Corby, at St. Marys Church in Corning, New York. They shared nearly three decades together before Kat's passing in March of 2005. After 20 years of waiting, Darold can finally be reunited with his Kat.
Darold had a long and dedicated career in retail, working for companies including Westins, McCrory, Ames, MJDesign, and Michaels Arts & Crafts. He was a loyal and passionate fan of the Buffalo Bills, and his enthusiasm for the team was well-known among family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted companion, Denise Hosmer of Webster, NY; and by Mel Viele of Greece, NYwhom he considered the daughter he never hadalong with her children, Conner and Lexi, who brought great joy to his later years.
Darold is also survived by his sister: Delores "Suki" Lewis; sisters-in-law, Maryellen (Mark) Blough and Julie (Richard) Reilly; brothers-in-law, Steven (Teresa) Corby, Thomas (Stace) Corby, Michael (Theresa) Corby, and Mark (Michele) Corby; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Darold was predeceased by his brother, Steven Ray Lewis; his in-laws, Thomas and Mary Corby; his brother-in-law, Joseph Corby; and his goddaughter, Jennifer Corby.
Per Darolds wishes, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved Kathryn at St. Marys Cemetery in Corning.
Arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Home.
