David P. Perry Sr. 86, of Londonderry, New Hampshire, passed away, on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Mercer) Perry with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
He was born and raised in Medford, MA, before moving to Lynn, MA, then Ultimately becoming a "snow bird" and residing between Largo, Fl and York Beach, ME.
He retired from New England Telephone Co. after 35 years of service. He was a US Navy Veteran.
Other than his full time job, he was a driving school instructor which was a very big passion of his. He enjoyed working with the younger generation while teaching them how to drive and was also a mentor to these young adults. He felt so rewarded watching them make one of their biggest achievements in life.
The number one thing in his life was his children. The childhood memories are countless. He was an avid lover of York Beach, ME, where he would take his family every summer on vacation.
After raising his 5 children, he treated his retirement as a honeymoon. He absolutely adored his childhood sweetheart Mary. They were inseparable as they were so in love as in the 1st day they met.
In addition to his wife Mary, David is survived by and will be greatly missed by his children, his son David and Susan, of Port Charlotte, Fl, his son Steven and Dorothy, of Woburn, MA, his son Richard and Marjorie of Londonderry, NH, his Daughter Stephanie of Lynn, MA and his son Ronald and Leah of Nashua, NH. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren which absolutely adored him, Brittney, Brian, Brooke, Brianna, Ricky, Jordan, Steven, Alex and Gabe and two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Kayleigh Coughlin. David is also survived by his 4 brothers Sam and Barbara of Moultonborough, NH, Bill and Audrey of Ft. Myers, Fl, Fred Perry of Medford, MA, and Jim and Darlene of Burlington, MA, along with many niece's and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM, in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, MA. David's funeral will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, MA.
