David was born in Frederick, MD on May 21, 1995, and was the son of Robert S. Powell of Greensburg, KY and Kimberly (Maiuzzo) de Burgos of Pine Bluff, AK. David graduated from New Oxford High School Class of 2013 and attended YTI Career Institute. David loved his job as a landscaper, enjoyed setting off fireworks displays, drag racing, and woodworking. He also loved the American flag and all that it stood for.
In addition to his parents Robert and Kimberly, David is survived by his sister Shayna Maiuzzo; his stepbrothers Chris Schod and Andy Schod; his dog Turbo; and his many beloved nieces and nephews.
A gathering in celebration of David's life will be held on August 28, 2024 from 3:00-4:00PM at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 501 Ridge Ave. McSherrystown PA 17344.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's memory can be made to Suicide Prevention of York, 613 Blossom Hill Lane, Dallastown, Pennsylvania 17313.
