Son of Elvina Sweeney (née Beste) and John Sweeney. Brother of John Sweeney Jr (deceased).
Husband of Elona Sweeney (also deceased).
David Graduated from Sparks High School in 1972, attended Barber College in San Francisco, and styled hair in Reno/Sparks for 50 years, retiring only two weeks before a stage four cancer diagnosis in August.
He is survived by his children Katie and Gabe Sweeney, grandsons Casey, Jett (and his expected brother), niece Cynthia Schield and her children Joshua and Catherine Byers, nephew Justin Sweeney and his children Andrew and Kaitlyn Sweeney.
David is also survived by his stepchildren (and their children); Sarah Dennis (Talon & Draven), Rob Wang (Keely, Kenzie & Chase), Ember Dhillon (Amia, Daylan & Kaiah), Kendra Andrade (Kalena, Kambria & Kavannah).
Service will be held at Outlook Christian Church 11/7 at 12 PM, followed by a private family interment.
