David W. Wolfe
February 19, 1952 – January 22, 2025
David "Dave" W. Wolfe, affectionately known as "Wolfie" to his many friends, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, at the age of 72.
Born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Dave graduated from McDowell High School before earning a degree in Environmental Engineering from Penn State University. A proud alumnus, Dave was an enthusiastic supporter of Penn State football and a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Dave cherished life's simple pleasures: annual fishing trips to Canada with "the boys," spirited card games with friends, woodworking, cooking, traveling, and reconnecting with his high school classmates to relive their youthful adventures. His warm presence, humor, and unwavering loyalty left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, L. Wilburn and Shirley Wolfe, and his sister, Caryn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Wolfe, of Bonita Springs, FL; his sons Levi (Neera) Wolfe and Kevin (Laura) Wolfe, both of Issaquah, WA; his daughter Meghan Bruce of Snoqualmie, WA; and six beloved grandchildren: Alyssa, Leela, Emily, Arya, Ella, and Liam.
He is also survived by his siblings: Kathleen Smith of Erie, PA; Suzanne (James) Arndt of Erie, PA; Marilyn Rogish (Joseph) of Victor, MT; Daniel Wolfe of Chardon, OH; Judy Fronzaglia (Douglas) of Girard, PA; and Becky Laasko (Dana Cleversy) of Geneva, OH, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family spread across the country.
Additionally, Dave will be deeply missed by his mother- and father-in-law, Barbara and John Bunting of Bonita Springs, FL; his sister-in-law, Debra Yates of Lemoyne, PA; and his cherished fur babies, Izzy and Wally.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held in Erie, PA, at a later date.
