David Zielinski, 71, a resident of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice on August 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Katherine (Finneran) Zielinski with whom he enjoyed 18 years of marriage.
He was born in Lowell on June 6, 1953, and was the son of the late William Zielinski and Marilyne (Mahoney) Zielinski.
David was raised in Dracut with his seven siblings. David graduated Fitchburg State with a bachelor's degree in science and went on to start his career working at Raytheon Technologies. Later in his career, he worked for the New Hampshire State Prison as a corrections officer. David then retired and moved to Florida where he enjoyed his retirement to the fullest. David was a lifelong musician and took interest in anything that could play a tune. Other than music, David loved nothing more than to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle. David and his friends enjoyed taking long trips for days or more. David was also a member of HOG (Harley Owners Group) where he could always be found participating in charity rides and attending their local events. David was also a fan of lawn care and took pride in keeping his property immaculate.
David is survived by his son Andrew Zielinski, sister Karen Zielinski and his brothers, Richard and his wife Bea, Paul and his companion Mary Bradley, Robert and his wife Carol, William and his wife Maria Zielinski. His nieces Alexa and Caitlynn Zielinski. His nephew Jonathan Zielinski and cousin Donna Pratt. He now joins his late brother and sister Peter and Kristine Zielinski.
Services will be announced at a later date.
