Derrick was a proud and loving father to his son Derrick Williams Jr., and a devoted father figure to his stepchildren: Kurstie, Kaleigh, Anthony, and Jordyn. He shared his life with his longtime love Stacy. Who remained faithfully by his side through every chapter of his life.

A true mentor Derrick took great pride in guiding and supporting the young men in his family and community. His influence extended far beyond his home- he was a source of strength, wisdom, and inspiration for many. Known for his magnetic personality, infectious laugh, and a smile that could light up any room, Derrick had a way of making everyone feel welcome and seen.
