The Metcalfe County native was the daughter of the late Lindsey Compton and Vinnie Bunch Compton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelia Hardin and a son, Kim Dile, and two grandchildren, Angie Atkins and Emily Dile.
Dessie was retired from the Aramark Uniform Company.
She is survived by her husband, Jim H. Dile, her children, Kathy Harper (Chris), Tommy Compton (Natalie), Jimmy K. Dile (Jennifer), Kevin Dile (Arlene) and Stevie Dile, grandchildren, Christy Holder (Dwight), James Compton, Johnny Compton (Gayla) and Geoffrey Compton (Sandra) and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM followed by burial in the Bowling Green Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Barren County Nursing and Rehab.
