Diane Marie Hanson Eyres passed away suddenly on January 28, 2025. She was born to John Fisher and Gwen Siddoway Hanson on August 25, 1954 in Coalville, Utah. The family moved to Salt Lake City, where Diane grew up with her siblings, attending Skyline High School. She graduated in 1972 and attended Weber State University. By December of 1972, she met and fell in love with Scott Eyres. They were married on August 30, 1978. She returned to school in 1985 and graduated from the University of Utah in 1987.
She had their daughter Kelli in 1980 and was a dedicated mother, taking on the role of PTA president, room mother, carpooler, softball coach, girl scout leader, and so much more. Besides being a full time mother, she also worked for the Utah State Government in Job Services, and spent the last 20+ years working for the US Post Office. She loved animals, especially cats, and was looking forward to getting a new litter this summer. She is preceded in death by her husband Scott in 2022, and as such, had moved to Texas in 2023 to live with her daughter. Once in Texas, she and Kelli built a custom house to enjoy together. They moved in to the house in August 2024.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her nephew Collin and niece Tammy.
