Dohn D. Ermis Sr.

Dohn Ermis Sr., age 65 of Suring, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Dohn was born on September 12, 1958 to the late Dennis and Phyllis (Firgens) Ermis. In Dohn's younger years, he found joy and brotherhood in riding with the Highwaymen MC. On May 20, 1978, Dohn married Roma Teller at the Teller family home. He worked the family farm with his wife and children for 20 years, until 2000 when he became a truck driver. Dohn was proud to have worked for numerous companies including V/S Midwest Carriers, RDM, McDermid, and WCS. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially bow hunting. Dohn was known to his family as a bow hunting extraordinaire. He will be remembered as a perpetual jokester who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family. Dohn loved living at The Farm and having family around him all the time.
Dohn is survived by his wife, Roma; children, Mike (Kellie) Berg, Devin (Jocelyn), Darren (Kassandra), Daniel (Melissa), Dohn Jr. (Jessica), Dana (Tyler), Dustin (Jordyn), and Darcie (Andrew); endless grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (Fred) Hedmark and children, Kim (Cory) Evraets and goddaughter, Shelly (Ted) Hayes; brothers, Jim (Renea) Krueger and Jeff Kempen; siblings-in-law, Nick (Cathy) Teller, Verna (Julio) DeLeon, Pam Waupekenay, Nate (Marge) Teller, Penny (Randy) Keon, Taylor (Beth) Teller, Luther (Carla) Teller, Marissa (Robert) Tucker, and Portia (Cal) Koebach. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Judith Ann; granddaughter, Emersyn Nicola; brother-in-law, James "Sam" Greetan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Red Maple Country Club from 1 pm until the memorial service at 4 pm with Pastor Dominic Petit officiating. A meal will follow the service.
