Dorothy A. "Dottie" Ozog

POLAND – Dorothy A. "Dottie" Ozog, 60, of Brayton Road, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2024 at her home after an apparent heart episode.
Dorothy was born on March 27, 1964 in Utica, a daughter of the late Edward and Barbara (Hall) Ozog. She graduated from Poland Central School in 1982 and furthered her education at HCCC. Dottie grew up and enjoyed working on the family farm. She enjoyed good times with family and friends hosting holidays and birthday parties at the farm. She was an old soul who cherished family values, she will be greatly missed.
Dottie started her career working at Present Company at Riverside Mall, then worked for 10 years at Piercing Pagoda. She was a 25 year employee at the Walmart Distribution Center where she was a personnel manager. She finished her career as a floor manager at Family Dollar Distribution Center in Rome.
Dottie was an active participant and supporter of the American Heart Run & Walk and the Children's Miracle Network. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include a brother, Edward Ozog, Jr. (Connie Neupert) of Poland; a niece, Rebecca (Mike) Cheney of St. Johnsville; and many cousins. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Barbara Ozog.
A calling hour will take place at the Autenrith Funeral Home, 7479 Main Street, Newport on Saturday, December 21, from 10:00 – 11:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. John's Church, Newport at 12:00 pm. Spring interment will take place in Prospect Cemetery.
