Dottie Jean Krevitz was born on April 16, 1942, in Lebanon, Missouri. Eighty-three years later, she departed from this world on May 14, 2025, in Independence, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever resonate with all who knew her.

Dottie's career was marked primarily by her dedication to her family as a homemaker. She took immense pride in creating a nurturing environment where her boys could grow and thrive. Her home was much more than a physical space; it was a sanctuary filled with love, laughter, and open arms, welcoming friends, family, and neighbors alike. In the company of her husband Clyde David, Dottie embraced life with a sense of joy and playfulness. Together, they delighted in being pranksters, often sharing in good-natured jokes and pranks with their neighborhood friends, fostering lasting connections and cherished memories. A proud graduate of East High School, Dottie briefly pursued further education at Kansas City Business College before fully committing herself to her family. Throughout her life, she remained engaged and vibrant, participating as a member of the Eastern Star and serving as a Cub Scout leader for many years. In her later years, she found joy in reading, especially murder mysteries and Nancy Drew novels, along with indulging in Facebook games. Fond memories were made during warm pool days at the family home and memorable camping trips to Stockton Lake when her boys were young. Dottie's personality shone brightly; she was known for her feisty, spirited nature and her candidness—there was never a doubt about what she was thinking. Yet, beneath that exterior lay a profound kindness and a loving heart that endeared her to many. Her family was her greatest pride, and she cherished them with every ounce of her being.

Dottie's passing was preceded by her parents, Ethan and Wyoma Osborn; her best friend and devoted husband of 62 incredible years, Clyde David Krevitz; and her sisters, Darlene Sharp and Shirley Bennett. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on through her sons, Barry Krevitz (Amy) and Brian Krevitz (Sara); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Stark and Justin Krevitz; her sisters, Mary Ann Brown and Phyllis Evans, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dottie's family will gather to honor her memory and celebrate her life at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, Missouri. Visitation will be held on May 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on May 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM, concluding with a Graveside Service at Mt. Washington Cemetery at 3:30 PM.
