Edmond was a graduate from Memphis University and received his Doctorate in Math Degree from Auburn University. He taught at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee for 35 years and was a member of the Rotary Club for 54 years.
He was preceded in death by his father Walter Dixon and his mother Thelma Dixon as well as his wife, Nancy Moon Dixon.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Gardner, sister Joyce Naivar, brother Wayne and Mary, and Mike and Annette, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lawson United Methodist Church or Wilderness Camp & Retreat Center, Lawson, Missouri.
