Edward Keith Story, of Yukon, passed away September 6, 2025 at his home in Yukon, Oklahoma. Keith was 68 years old.
Keith was born October 11, 1956 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Luther CL and Thelma Jeanette (Shatley) Story. Keith and Janet Elaine Thompson were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on August 8, 1975 at the First United Methodist Church.
Keith is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology Degree in 1978. He graduated as a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In 1986, he earned his designation as a Professional Engineer (PE). He also obtained his Private Pilots License while going to school in Stillwater. He worked and retired as a Petroleum Engineer in the oil and gas industry. He drilled wells from Oklahoma to California to Michigan and loved his work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Thelma Story, his inlaws, Harry and Ardith Thompson, one daughter, Amber Story, his sister, Janis Mayberry and his brother, Robert Bentley
Keith is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet Elaine Thompson Story; their son and his wife, Brian and Sarah Story; five grandchildren, Jacob and Brecken Story, Adrian Ortiz, Evan Isaac Story and Kaylie Elaine Story; great grandchildren, Easton Red Elk and Ember Story; one brother and his wife, Larry and Connie Story; brothers in law, Jim Mayberry, Mark Thompson and his wife, Irmgard Thompson, and sister in law and her husband, Amy and Mickey Brown; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
