Edward Wilson

Edward Wilson, beloved husband of the late Jerri Wilson, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 71.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife Jerri, and his parents Edward and Serafina Wilson.
Ed enlisted in the Navy after graduating from Manchester High School in 1971. Upon completion of his military service, Ed joined the Manchester Police Department. While working at Manchester Police, Ed continued his education and received a Law degree from Western New England University.
With his degree in hand, Ed resigned from his detective position with the Manchester Police to begin his 10-year career as a Prosecutor for the State of CT working at GA12. During that time, Ed also found satisfaction in working for the Oak Hill School as an aid for adults with special needs.
Ed's love of police work led him back to a second law enforcement career at the Hartford Police Department, until his retirement a few years later.
In retirement, Ed moved to Clearwater Beach, Florida, where he pursued his lifelong passion of spending as much time as possible riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was happiest as he accumulated over 250,000 miles in the open air often camping along the way. During this time, Ed met and married his second wife, Jerri Wilson. Together they spent many miles, each riding their motorcycles throughout the country until Jerri passed away in 2019 and Ed returned to CT to be near family and friends.
Ed leaves behind his sons, Edward (Sarah) Wilson and Eric Wilson and his former wife Elizabeth Wilson, and his grandsons Eric and Zachary Wilson.
Ed also leaves behind his six siblings, Margaret (Ernie) Fain, MaryAnn Rio, Claire LaMonica, David (Susan) Wilson, John (Sabina) Wilson and Paul (Donna) Wilson, and nine nieces and nephews, as well as Jerri's children and grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank his caregiver Christina Drury for taking such good care of Ed with love and humor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Georgina's Restaurant at 11:00 a.m. on January 7th, 2024.
