OLD BRIDGE - ERIC S. SKOLNIK passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. He was 58 years old.
Eric was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Ronald and Enid Hester Skolnik (née Levine). He grew up in Sayreville, before settling down in Old Bridge.
Upon graduating from Rutgers University, Eric became a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner. For the past 23 years, Eric served as the CFO and Senior VP of Blonder Tongue Laboratories Inc. in Old Bridge.
Eric was an avid Giants and Yankees fan, as well as a Rutgers Football season ticket holder for 40 years. In fact, one of his favorite past times was tailgating at all Rutgers home games. He enjoyed singing in his band just as much as he loved seeing his favorite bands in concert. Eric constantly wanted to travel and took numerous cruises and day trips with Naida by his side. His favorite way to spend his free time was watching his favorite TV shows (Jeopardy, Seinfeld, and Friends), going to the movies, and spending time with all his friends and family.
Family was extremely important to Eric. He absolutely adored his daughters, Alexa and Gabby, and was a devoted son and brother.
He is survived by his mother, Hester Skolnik of Sayreville; his beloved, Naida Robles of Old Bridge; his daughters, Alexa and Gabrielle Skolnik of Long Island; his brothers: Jonathan Skolnik of Marlboro and Kevin Skolnik and his wife, Stacie, and sons, Brendan and Sawyer, of Sayreville.
A temple service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 9:45 am, Temple Beth Ahm, 550 Lloyd Road, Matawan. Interment will follow at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Marlboro. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
