Father Michael Juk Obituary
Riassaphore Monk Michael (Juk), 72, of Saint Tikhon's Monastery fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, November 20, 2024.
Born December 4, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Constantine Juk and Nina (Shevchuk) Juk-Jarboe.
Father Michael was tonsured as a Riassaphore Monk March 23, 2007 and received his Master of Divinity on May 28, 2011 from St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary.
He is survived by two daughters, two sisters, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.
Local Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. in St. Tikhon's Monastery Church, 175 St. Tikhon's Road, Waymart, PA 18472.
Funeral Services in Michigan will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024, 10:00 A.M. In State, followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 20500 Anglin Street, Detroit, MI 48234.
Burial will follow on Saturday in Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Father Michael (Juk) to St. Tikhon's Monastery, 175 St. Tikhon's Road, Waymart, PA 18472.
