Felix Vincent Ricco

Felix Vincent "Rick" Ricco, 97, WWII veteran, son of Carmela Bonfanti Ricco and Samuel Ricco passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, in Hamilton Square, NJ,
Born in Trenton, he moved to Niagara Falls NY, where he enlisted in the Navy leaving high school early to join the fight during WWII. He served as a Pharmacist Mate 3rd class as a part of the Medical Corp. After the war he returned to Trenton and completed his High School education receiving his diploma from Trenton Central HS and then later graduating from Rider College with a BS in Commerce, Major in Accounting.
He spent many years as a professional saxophonist as a member of Philadelphia Musicians Local 77, The Townsman Band, and the Broomall String Band as a Mummer. He later worked for the State of NJ and Rutgers Medical School as the Director of Purchasing. While at Rutgers he started the Rutgers Medical School Golf League also serving as the President of the league for many years.
An avid bowler and golfer, he spent much of his retirement on the golf course, exercising, watching his grandchildren's baseball and basketball games and school events, and cheering for the Phillies, and Eagles.
Felix was predeceased by his parents, his sister Josephine Ricco, his wives Angeline Strano Ricco and Rosemary Nicol Ricco, his son Felix Ricco Jr, his daughter in law Patrica Ricco, his grandson's William Kane and Sloan Ricco, and a special friend Marilyn Doolittle.
He is survived by his seven children and their spouses/partners: Randy (Terri D'Errico), Robert, Valerie (Sheldon Dean), Nancy Kane (Randy Kelley), David (Amy), Karen Anselmo (Dan Spalding), Beth (Frank) Swiezkowski, his sister Mary Romanchuk and brothers John (Ellen) Ricco, Joe (Lucy) Ricco, twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and Monday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Sq., NJ. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Ln., Hamilton, NJ.
