Floriano Rebelo Obituary
Floriano L. Rebelo, 66, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, in Providence, RI surrounded by his loving family.
He was the loving husband of Maria N. Rebelo, to whom he had been married to for 43 years.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose S. Rebelo and Dolores M. (Leonardo) Rebelo.
Prior to retiring, Floriano worked for most of his career in the boat industry with his last employer being Zim Sailing and was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church. He was a former member of the Benfica Club and an avid soccer fan who would never miss a game. He was a jack of all trades and a hard worker, who enjoyed being outside and above all else spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Daniel Rebelo and Derek Rebelo (girlfriend Samantha Thornsbury), both of Fall River; his siblings: Joe Rebelo, Helena Teixeira (husband Luis Teixeira), Ana Rebelo, and Patricia M. Rebelo-Robinson (husband John Robinson) all of Fall River; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday, November 13, from the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM, at Santo Christo Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Sunday evening, from 4 - 7 PM.
