Fred Dembrowski, 66, of Ewing passed away Saturday at his home after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. Born in Trenton, Fred was a lifelong area resident, graduated from Ewing High School in 1975, graduated from Mercer County Community College with his AS, and worked as a software support technician. Fred loved riding his bike, hiking, relaxing on Long Beach Island, listening to music, and spending time with his family. In his later years, he especially cherished moments with his grandsons and was their very affectionate "Poppy." He was an avid joke-teller, always making those around him laugh at his creative and original "dad jokes." Fred had a deep faith in Jesus and the strength of the Lord carried him through to the end. He especially loved singing worship music, reading his bible, and helping minister to and care for the homeless population. What joy it is that Fred is now fully in the presence of Jesus.
Fred was preceded in death by his late wife of 29 years, Heather Dembrowski; his parents, Alfred Dembrowski and Olga Farber Dembrowski; and his brother, Martin Dembrowski. He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Belinda Dembrowski; his children, Alyssa Bolella and her husband Daniel Bolella, and Kirsten Dembrowski and her fiancé Ryan Elder; his grandchildren, Theodore Bolella, Maxwell Bolella, and Jaxon Elder; his step-children, Richard Pulaski, Angela Pulaski, and Joseph Pulaski; his siblings, Sylvia Kriebel, Barry Dembrowski, Bruce Dembrowski, and Paul Dembrowski; and many adoring in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4pm-8pm on Wednesday, January 17th at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave, Ewing, NJ. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Calvary Chapel of Mercer County, 80 W. Upper Ferry Rd, Ewing, NJ on Thursday, January 18th at 11am. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to purchase a bench in Fred's name along one of his favorite trails. Visit https://www.tmcfunding.com/funds/fred-dembrowski-memorial-fund/9261/ to make a donation.
