Greg F. Spatcher, 75, of Lanoka Harbor, passed away on September 7, 2024 after many health complications.
Greg was born on September 5, 1949 to Frank and Hazel Spatcher in Montclair, NJ. After Greg graduated from Glen Ridge High School in 1967, he attended Lincoln Technical Institute, then went on to serve in the U.S. Army. Greg went on to own a textile manufacturing company which he successfully ran for over 40 years.
In 1968, Greg married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Paulette. Greg and Paulette went on to have two children, Kerri and Dennis.
For many years Greg loved being out on the Barnegat Bay in his boat and going out fishing. He will be remembered for his love and kindness to all animals especially to his dogs, Lola, Fred and Phoebe. He will be missed by all the beautiful birds whom he fed daily and enjoyed watching in his yard.
Greg was predeceased by his mother and father, Hazel and Frank Spatcher as well as sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ray Davis. He is survived by his wife, Paulette, son Dennis Spatcher, daughter and son-in-law Kerri and Keith Goldstein, grandchildren Nicholas and Katelyn Stanzione, and sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Bob DeMasi. Additionally, he was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm and again on Thursday from 10 am until time of service at 11am at Riggs Funeral Home 130 North Route 9, Forked River, NJ. Interment will follow at Good Luck Cemetery, Lanoka Harbor. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors Organization in honor of Greg.
