Harriet Lee Gannon (Steckel), age 78, passed away on 05/08/2024 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Terrance Gannon, and sons Jason and Adam. She was one of eight children and was born in Rootstown, OH. She graduated from Rootstown High School in 1963 and retired from Alsiide after over 30 years of service. She is also survived by her siblings Alice Pol (Terry), Joyce Davis, Robert Eric Steckel, Lanny Steckel (Pat), Carl Steckel (Mary), Carmen Natale, sister-in-law Marcia Martz, God Daughter Amy Dailey, best friends Linda Cottrill Welty, Anna Killian, Esther Deitch, and JoAnne Mikulas, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry & Thelma Steckel, in-laws Everett & Jan Gannon, sister Maylene Dearnbarger, brother-in-laws Joseph Natale, Kenny Davis, Gale Dearnbarger, and Dennis Martz. Harriet loved to crochet and had crocheted over 200 name dailies for friends and family. Calling hours will be 10:00-11:30 AM with service at 11:30 AM on 05/15/2024 at Adams Mason Funeral Home on 791 East Market St. Akron, OH 44305. She was an organ donor and per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
