Earl Dunnahoo, Jr. was born on May 14, 1927 at his childhood home on Hudson Road, located 1 mile from Rehoboth Church. He went on to heaven from the very same street (Hudson Road) this past week at age 97.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker, GA, with Pastor Troy Bush officiating. The family will receive friends and family at the church before the service on Saturday, from 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM.
Earl attended Rehoboth Elementary school and Clarkston High School up until he was drafted into the Army during his senior year. After serving time in the states, as well as the Philippines, he returned home and finished up his senior year at Clarkston.
He followed in his father's footsteps and worked in home construction his entire career. Over the years he worked for several builders who attended Rehoboth (Pastor Buice, Quill Johnson, Don Wilson, Warner Blair, and Sandra/Charlie Allen), working six days a week up until his late 70s. Earl attended Rehoboth Church his entire life and that is where he met his sweet future wife, Virginia, in the church choir. They dated about a year and were married in November of 1953. He served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Rehoboth for many years. He had many hobbies and interest. He loved Hunting, Fishing, Baseball, Gardening, and Bird Watching. He dearly loved his family, his friends, his Lord, and his church.
He is survived by his two children, Kathy and Buddy, and his sister, Sara.
