To the family or Jack Abernathy I want to offer my sincere condolences and prayers. I served on the Clio City Commission when we hired him to be our interim city manager and he was an absolutely wonderful administrator. I thoroughly enjoyed every day working with him. I can see that he was always a caring and concerned person and must have been a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will surely be missed.

Jack hired me to work for the city of Davison during the summers, 1971-1975, during my college years at CMU. I was fortunate to know Jack and am thankful for his providing me with a letter of recommendation to attend Officer Candidate School after I joined the Army.

Remembering so many fun times shared with the Abernathy family as members of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and numerous family camping excursions. Great memories!

Jack had a youthful, sneaky way. Watergun fights at the cabin with Mac & Madi (they were 10 and 8 years old). Innocent at first...then Jack got the water hose and blasted them!!!
