James Carns Obituary

January 13, 2025. He was born on April 5, 1943 in
Jonesboro, Arkansas and graduated from Strongsville
High School, Class of 1961 and was a pipefitter with
Local # 120 for over 60 years. He was a deck hand for
Jet Express for 13 years and worked at St. Teresa's
Fish Fry's for several years. He enjoyed boating, fishing
but most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Lois Carns (nee Jason),
children Christine (Michael) Carr, Colleen (Jeff) Tallmadge
and Jim (Julie) Carns, grandchildren Orion, Jocelyn, Owen,
Stephanie, Emily and Melanie, greatgrandchildren Peter
and Ava and brother Larry (Sandy) Carns.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank & Ruth (nee
Colegrove) Carns, brothers Frank and Carl and sister Maggie.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 21, 2025
from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at the Parish Life Center of St. Teresa
followed by an 11:00 am Mass at St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1878 Abbe Rd, Sheffield Village.
Interment at St. Teresa's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to

or Breakthru T1D (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation),
24359 Northwestern Highway, Suite 125, Southfield, MI. 48075.
The MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, Avon, is in charge of
arrangements.
