James Cousin Obituary

Born and raised in Portsmouth, James was a proud graduate of Manor High School, Class of 2024. He was a dedicated and valued employee at Ollie's Bargain Outlet, where he brought both energy and a warm spirit to his work. Known for his vibrant personality and big heart, James touched many lives with his presence.
James will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Charlene Eley, and his father, Melvin Cousin, as well as his loving sister and best friend, Melodie Cousin, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. He also leaves behind his older brothers, Melvin Jr. and Deshawn Freeman, and his paternal grandmother.
James had a deep passion for shoe shopping, a keen eye for style, and was always quick to show off his latest find. He enjoyed countless hours playing his PS5, sharing laughs and unforgettable memories with his friends and family, pastimes that brought him endless joy.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gladys Eley; his uncles, James Eley and Thomas Woodson, along with other cherished family members who welcomed him home with open arms.
James's spirit, humor, and unwavering love will be remembered by a host of relatives and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. His light shone brightly during his time here, and though his journey ended too soon, the love he gave continues to live on.
May James rest in eternal peace, wrapped in the love that he so freely gave.
