James Bennet Dillaplain
5/17/1948 - 5/28/2023
Jim Dillaplain was born in Memphis, Tennessee. As a child, he lived in Texas, Alabama, and Arkansas.
He was the middle child of Vernon and Evangeline Dillaplain.
Following high school graduation, he graduated from Business College in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He served four years in the Air Force in Alaska and Fort Worth. He was a staff sergeant.
After the Air Force he moved to Houston and began his career as a draftsman. He was a well-liked, hardworking employee and co-worker. He retired at age 70. Yet, he spent all his time after that taking care of his family.
He loved anything to do with cars.
He loved animals and was a great pet dad to six dogs, one cat, one bird, one goldfish and one hamster!
He had a natural curiosity about life. His smile lit up every place he went.
He was a quiet, gentle soul. He always put others first. He was generous and kind.
God made Jim a very special person and the world is surely sad at his passing. His family is devastated. He was the person who made our family.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Donna and the joy of his life, his son, James.
