Jane Helen Taylor, 75, Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, November 21, 2024, in BeeHive Homes – Memory Care of Moorhead.
Jane was born April 7, 1949, in Moorhead to Leo and Helen (Peterson) Adams. She attended St. Joseph Elementary School, North Jr. High and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1967. After graduation she attended Moorhead State College receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1971. In 1996 Jane received her Master of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas.
Jane was united in marriage to James Taylor on July 7, 1972, in Moorhead. They made their home in Grand Forks, ND. In 1973, they moved to Duluth, MN, remaining there for one year before returning to Moorhead.
In 1986, Jane began her career as a sixth-grade teacher at Robert Asp Elementary School, later moving to Horizon Middle School. Her teaching career spanned 25 years, culminating in her retirement in 2011. In those twenty-five years Jane brought unbounded energy to the classroom and other school activities. Beyond Jane’s work activities, she continuously volunteered at St. Joseph Catholic Church and participated in numerous neighborhood and community events.
Jane is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim; their sons and grandchildren, Jedd (Tracy), and their children Cole and Grant of St. Louis Park, MN, Jeremy (Jackie), and their children, Charlie and Blake of Eden Prairie, MN; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Donald, Charles and John.

Visitation for Jane will be Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5pm - 7pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Moorhead. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11am in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
