Janet Lee Boatright, 61, of Richland Springs, passed away on December 11, 2024 at her home in Richland Springs, Texas. She was born in Sonora, Texas to Wallace Lee Anthony and Hattie Christine Anthony on February 22, 1963.
She attended several schools but was in Richland Springs for the biggest part of her school days where she made many cherished friends. She and her sister Judy Reneau graduated from high school in George West. She worked as a Dental Assistant in San Angelo for numerous years. She considered Shiloh Bible Church in Richland Springs as her home church as it had been such a big part of her beloved family's church. In her last few months she stayed in touch with Bro. Bill Slaymaker, pastor of Shiloh for her spiritual comfort.
Janet was an avid animal lover and advocate. She was a very quiet and private person, but she never met a dog or horse she didn't make great friends with.
Janet's marriage to the love of her life, Mike Boatright, was brought to a sad ending when he passed away after a long illness. Janet never re-married as the bar was set very high with Mike. She yearned for him throughout all the years.
Her children, Haley Boatright and J'Lee Boatright-Linch were her pride and joy, they also journeyed through life without their dad alongside Janet. All three were learning to go on.
When the girls added their children, Bailey Rose Boatright-Linch and then Onyx Thomas Ford and Luna Rae'Lee Ford, that was about all Janet would talk about. They brought her so much joy.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband Mike Boatright, daddy Wallace Lee Anthony, very special grandparents Cris and Clarice Haines.
She is survived by her mother Hattie Tolliver and her husband William Tolliver of Richland Springs, Texas, son Kirk Boatright and his wife Jonna of Miles, Texas, daughters
J'Lee Boatright- Linch and her husband Brady of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Haley Boatright of Killeen, Texas, sister Judy Reneau and her husband Tim of Richland Springs, Texas, grandchildren, Saige Boatright, Sadie Boatright, Bailey Rose Boatright-Linch,
Onyx Thomas Ford, Luna Rae'Lee Ford. With many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and special Aunt Sue and Uncle Bobby Smith of Ovalo, Texas and Aunt Nancy Frerich of Mason, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Shiloh Bible Church in Richland Springs with Bill Slaymaker officiating at a later date.
The family of Janet Boatright wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Gentiva Hospice in Brownwood.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba. Please view Mrs.Boatright's online memorial at www.heritagefuneraltx.com.
