Jason Kyle Burger, 51, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Born and raised in Athens, Jason was the son of Michael Burger and Susan Beckley Burger. He came up through the Athens Little League baseball program and was a member of the YMCA. He graduated from Clarke Central High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. He was a member of Lambda Chi fraternity and a lifelong Bulldawg fan. Jason worked in sales and was an active supporter of Acceptance Recovery Center. He was passionate about helping others.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Burger, and his grandparents, Willard Stephen Beckley and Pauline Beckley.
He is survived by father, Michael Burger (Marie); mother, Susan Beckley Burger; daughter, Emma Kate Burger; sister Kelly Litvin (Thomas); grandmother Martha Kate Burger; nephews Christopher “Bo” Burger and Carson Litvin; aunt Janet Beckley; cousin Carl Boneri; partner Carol Anne Claxton and her daughter Gracie Lynne Baker.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel on Tuesday, May 14 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
