Jerome F. Speener, 82, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at The Waterford in Hartford, Wisconsin.
He was born on February 27, 1942, to Fred and Jennette (nee Jakobi) Speener in Kaukauna, WI. Jerome graduated from Kaukauna High School. He honorably served 3 years in the United States Army. On September 14, 1968, he was united in marriage to Arlyss Haugen. Jerome worked for Roskopf Towing for 30 Years as a mechanic until he retired in 2004. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and taking car rides, which always meant a stop at a Dairy Queen. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed.
Those Jerome leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 55 years, Arlyss Speener; his mother, Jennette Speener; four children, Michelle Kornitz, Charlotte Speener, Fred Speener, and Alex Speener; three grandchildren, Avery (Lila Johnson) Kornitz, Morgan Kornitz, and Samantha Speener; a great-grandchild, Norah Kornitz; three sisters, Sandra Derks, Becky (John) Hengel, and Linda (Chuck) Lohr; sister-in-law, Judy Isaacson; three brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Sharon) Haugen, Bernie (Jean) Haugen, and Tom (Jane) Putnam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Speener; daughter, Vanessa Speener, father and mother-in-law, Alvin and Charlotte Haugen; and two brothers-in-law, Tom Derks and Laurie Isaacson.
A private family service will be held in Wisconsin.
