Jerry L. Floyd, 82, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice. He was born July 12, 1943 in Evansville to the late Betty (Blankenship) and Willard Raymond Floyd.
Jerry graduated from Central High School and was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He worked for Holland Motor Freight for many years before retiring. Jerry was a member of Teamsters Local 215 and North Park Wesleyan Church. He was an accomplished guitar player and enjoyed bowling. Jerry liked spending time outdoors, taking great care of his yard and garden. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Ivalyn (Grubb) Floyd; sons, C. Eddie Casson (Jeff) and Tim Casson (Angee); daughter, Valorie Davis (Terry); grandchildren, Christopher Casson, Nicholas Davis (Micah) and Josh Casson; and brother, Michael Floyd.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Toni Critzer; and brother, Terry Floyd.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. A Funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Chris Shimboff officiating.
Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Park Wesleyan Church, 3360 N. First Avenue, Evansville, IN 47710.
