Jim (Choogie) Charles Ratledge, age 53, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, July 28, 2024 in Joplin, MO. He was born on February 7, 1971 in Claremore, OK to his parents Berney Lee Ratledge and Lois Mae Tagg.
Jim "Choogie" was a collector of many things. He collected model cars, knives of all sorts, movies, dream catchers, eagle statues and posters and so much more. He also liked to talk to his grandkids on the phone and run errands with his dad. He also enjoyed spending time with family. Choogie was also a fan of the OU Sooners. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Choogie was proceeded in death by his mother Lois Tagg and sister Melissa Ratledge-Holcomb.
He is survived by his father Berney Ratledge of Decatur, AR; his sister Patricia Lackey of Jay, OK; brothers Carl Ratledge of Mountain Home, AR, and Bobby Ratledge of Jay OK; Daughter Brandy Gimlin of Fort Smith, AR; Two stepdaughters Diana and Jessica; Numerous Grandchildren; extended family and friends.
Choogie's Celebration of Life family visitation to greet friends will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6:00-8:00pm at Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346.
Choogie's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10:00am, Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Chapel, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Pastor Cullus Buck officiating. Followed by Choogie's funeral procession to Euwasha Cemetery, Kenwood, OK.
Choogie's burial will be at Euwasha Cemetery, Kenwood, OK.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
