Jo Ann (Thompson) Kruger, 94, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on May 20, 1931, in Frankton, Indiana, the daughter of Verlyn and Isophine (Jones) Gentry.
Jo Ann graduated from Lapel High School.
She was a secretary for Farm Bureau Co-Op and retired after 38 years of service. She also worked for Baker Brothers Funeral Home as an office attendant and greeter.
She was a member of the Ivy Rebekah Lodge and the Good Time Gals Card Club. Jo Ann like playing games and bowling, but most importantly she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Jo Ann is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Tucker; grandchildren, Christopher (Amanda) Tucker, Jeremy (Michelle) Thompson, and Rachael Ann; and great-granddaughters, Claire, Bridgette, and Vivian. Also, surviving is her sister, Ruth Hall; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lavern Kruger; son, William E. Thompson, Jr.; and siblings, Norma Leeman and Carolyn Atkins.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, IN.
Services will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, arthritis.org. www.loosecares.com.
