Joe Rush Obituary
Henderson, TN: Joseph Lane Rush age 74, passed away June 19, 2025 at the Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Jackson, TN, on March 27, 1951, and grew up in Silerton, TN, the son of the late J.L. and Alma Kate Rush. He was a 1969 graduate of Chester County High School and then attended UT Martin and played football for the Sky Hawks.
He farmed with his father for many years, worked at Bolivar Tannery for a time, and was a Loan Officer at the Bank of Bolivar for 12 years and then for Regions Bank for 4 years.
Joe was a member of the Silerton Methodist church and was an avid UT football fan.
He is survived by a daughter, Katie Brooke Rush of Knoxville, his ex-wife Vicki Rush of Henderson, and a sister Frances Stack (Lee) of Silerton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Beth Rush and two brothers John and Bill Rush.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Crook Avenue Chapel.
