Joel K. Greenberg

Joel K. Greenberg, 76, of Garrettsville, OH, went home to his Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at his home with his loving wife at his side. He was born November 2, 1948, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Milton and Hennie (nee Schrier) Greenberg.
He was raised in the Cleveland area, attending Temple Emanu El in Orange Village, OH. Joel graduated at Heights High School, belonging to the class of 1967. He went on to earn dual bachelor degrees in Public Speaking and Political Science from Ohio University in 1971. Joel met the love of his life, Sandi, in 2007, when the both met at Sports Display, where they were employed; They were married November 22, 2009. He had grown to become Sandi's right hand in ministry, becoming a member of the Nelson United Methodist Church in Nelson Township, OH. Joel had recently joined and sang in the choir at Garrettsville United Methodist Church. He always had a smile and a tale for those he met, and would be a friend to all.
Joel will forever be missed by his wife, Pastor Sandi Dennis-Greenberg, who was blessed to share over 15 years of marriage; sons, Lonnie (Silvana) Greenberg of NJ, and Ethan (Rachael) Greenberg, of Cleveland, OH; grandsons, Lorenzo and Leonardo Greenberg, of NJ; sister, Pamela (Irwin) Kronenberg, of Bluffton, SC, as well as other extended family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Please join the family for a memorial visitation Friday, May 9, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., at the Garrettsville United Methodist Church, 8223 Park Ave., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A memorial service will begin at the church at 11 a.m., with Rev. Edgar Brady officiating.
