Spencer was born on July 13, 1978, in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Trinity High School in Louisville and attended the University of Alabama.
Spencer enjoyed boating and all aspects of the water, a true outdoorsman and all things mechanical. The river was his home, always enjoying sunrises and sunsets. He was always the brightest smile in the room.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernie, and Mary Elizabeth Holtman, and Evelyn Rose Hays. His uncle, James S. Holtman, MD and cousin David Holtman.
He is survived by his father, John B. Holtman (Cathy), his mother, Peg Doyle (James), his sisters and brothers, Sara Holtman, Brandon Hunt (Dalton), Blake Hunt (Tuesday), Melissa Doyle Hunt (David), James T. Doyle (Jennifer). Also, nephew Jacob Heavner, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, June 26th, from 1 – 4 pm at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
