Joseph R. Daddona, age 88, of Goshen and formerly of Watertown and Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the VITAS Homecare Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Fortier) Daddona for 65 years.
Joseph was born on February 24, 1935 in Waterbury, CT, a son of the late Nicholas and Genevieve (Sebastian) Daddona. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Before his retirement, Joseph worked for Highland Manufacturing Company as a Class A Eyelet Tool Maker for 35 years. He cherished the many happy memories he had with his family and playing cards and traveling with his close friends.
Besides his wife of Watertown, Joseph leaves his children, Richard Daddona of Jacksonville, FL, David Daddona of Watertown, CT, Diane Fasano and her husband, Leonard, with whom he lived of Goshen, CT, sister, Maryann Cerasale and her husband, Emidio of Naugatuck, CT, seven grandchildren, Angela Lepore, Anthony Fasano, Karla Stochmal, Matthew Daddona, Cristina Daddona, Joseph Daddona and Samuel Daddona, six great grandchildren, a nephew and many nieces, cousins and his good friend Ron LeBlanc. He was predeceased by his nephew, Mark Valente, niece, Linda Gorman and friend, Lucille LeBlanc.
The family would like to thank the following people who cared for Joe and assisted him and his family the past few years: Dianne Schaller, Geer Senior Shuttle Service and St. Mary's Hospital VITAS inpatient unit nurses. They would also like to thank the staff at the Village at East Farms for the time he was there.
Arrangements: Joseph's funeral will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will be held prior to the Mass from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
