Coach Findley passed away on October 2, 2023 at UAB. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Faye Findley; brother, Rodney Findley; and grandparents, Walker and Pearl Findley and James Floyd and Zula Mae Pentecost.
Coach Findley was a 1977 graduate of Saks High School. He was also a JSU alumnus. He was a long time member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a teacher and a coach for over 30 years at various schools, including the Calhoun County Alternative School, Saks High School and Pleasant Valley High School. Coach Findley loved Alabama Football and the NY Yankees. He enjoyed working outside, grilling, and reading, and was a big history buff. He loved BBQ but his favorite was Pruett's BBQ in Gadsden. Coach Findley enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband and father.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Pamela Littlejohn Findley; children, Taylor Findley and Trent Findley (Madison); father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Phillis Littlejohn; sister-in-law, Patti Ponder (Sean); brother-in-law, Rod Littlejohn; nephews, Jeremy Findley (Christy), Nick Howard (Brooklyn), and Jack Ponder; niece, Heather Lane (Robby); and his beloved dog, Scout and cat, Chip.
Pallbearers will be Nick Howard, Jack Ponder, Jeremy Findley, Rod Littlejohn, Sean Ponder, and Chuck Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Davis, Darren Hamby, Ronnie Preston, and Bill Prickett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Anthony Findley to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in care of Arnold Johnson at 59 Grandvil Way, Weaver AL 36277.

I had a family emergency and missed Anthony's service and reunion with our friends. Anthony was a kind heart and a warrior for peace. God shined through his eyes. He rests in the glory of the lord
