It is with great sadness to announce on Sunday, June 16, 2024, Joseph Eugene Morrell, loving husband, father of 2 children, stepfather of 4 children, grandfather of 10 children and great grandfather of 13 children, passed away at the age of 91. Joseph was born in Astoria, Queens, NY to Joseph and Elisabeth (Duhne) nee. Joseph lived in various places in NJ with his family including North Bergen, Elmwood Park, Lodi, Garfield, Toms River and finally retiring to Sun City West, AZ. Joseph was a pipe insulator for 42 years. He was an active member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Union, Local 12 in NYC, NY. Joseph, his mother, Elisabeth, his sisters, Alice and Ruth, his son, Robert, and stepson, Anthony. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Caroline, his daughter Susan Loosse and her husband, Thomas, his step children Edwin Berkhout, Victoria Riotto, and Tracy Andreotta, his 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers George and Laurence Morrell and all of their extended families. Joseph had a passion for dancing. He loved to spend his time working outdoors, gardening, and doting on his wife Caroline. He was also an avid bowler and golfer. Joseph was known for his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. A memorial Mass service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, located at 19002 N. 128th Avenue Sun City West, Arizona at 10 0'clock am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association in honor of Joseph.
