Obituary of Joshua Alan Krueger
Joshua A. Krueger, 30, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
He was born on February 24, 1992 to David Krueger and Peggy Smith in South Bend, Indiana.
After graduating from Niles High School, class of 2010, Joshua went on to work in Landscaping. He worked for a number of years for M.A.A.C. Property Services in Niles and developed long-lasting friendships with those he worked with. Joshua was currently employed by Pemberton Landscaping and Snow Removal in South Bend. His work allowed him to accomplish projects from beginning until the end and allowed him to be outdoors, which was a passion of his. He also looked forward to fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed time with his step-dad, Kevin, racing his dirt bike, proudly wearing the number 402. Joshua s greatest passion was time spent with family and friends, especially his son, Philip.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Krueger and maternal grandparents, Phillip and Oma Smith.
Joshua is survived by his father, David Krueger of Edwardsburg; his mother, Peggy Sue Smith of Niles; step-father, Kevin Miller of Niles; his son, Philip Andrew Lee Krueger of Mishawaka; his paternal grandmother, Sharon (Ernie) Deal of Niles; his siblings, Stephanie Miller (Michael Sheldon) of Niles, Coty (Theresa) Krueger of Watervliet, Crystal and Karen Sobieski, both of Dowagiac, Carrie (Deny) White of Dowagiac and Stephen Pletcher; his girlfriend, Hilary Van Overberghe of Niles and her parents Gary and Elizabeth Van Overberghe. He will also be greatly missed by a cousin that was more like a brother, Jacob Hatch as well as countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
A memorial service celebrating Joshua s life will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at
1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 521 E. Main Street in Niles with a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. An interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are welcomed to Join Joshua s family at a dinner at the Niles Eagles Lodge at Riverfront Park in Niles and ask you to bring a dish to pass. Niles Eagles will be open at 10:30a.m.
