Julian G. Flores
10/06/1941 – 2/10/2025
Julian G. Flores, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away at age 83. He is survived by his former spouse Rosie Bustos, his daughter Naomi Castilleja, her husband Carlos Castilleja, his son James Flores and his wife Kathleen Stull and four beloved grandchildren, Dallis, Addison, Dylan, and Logan.
He was born on October 6, 1941 to Julian Sr. and Filomena Flores and had six siblings.
He is survived by brother Amado Flores, his wife Grace Cantu and his sisters, Virginia
Castilleja and her late husband, Lalo Castilleja, Lydia Natal, and her husband Alex Natal, in addition to many nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews. He is predeceased in death by his sister Tomasa Cabello survived by her husband Joe Cabello, Sister, Elia Dora Trigo, survived by her husband Steve Trigo, and brother Juan (Toby) Flores.
He was born and raised in Seguin, Texas where he was active in sports. After high school, he attended Texas State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Education. Julian joined the military, serving in the U. S. Army, then went on to earn a master's degree in special education from Our Lady of
The Lake University. Julian had two careers, one with the Texas Rehabilitation Commission for 20 years and a career teaching special education at various schools in San Antonio.
Julian's legacy lives on through his family. His incredible wisdom left an indelible mark on everyone. Though we will miss him, we know he is joyfully dancing in Heaven and cheering on the Cowboys. "Those we hold dear never truly leave us They live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared, and the love they brought into our lives."
