Julie Ann Armstrong, 63, of Vallonia, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Salem Crossing Nursing Care Center in Salem, IN. She had been ill for 2 years.
Julie was born on October 14, 1961, in Wiesbaden, West Germany, to the late Ronald Mark and Marilyn Sue Johnson Wright. She was a 1979 graduate of Brownstown Central High School, and her college studies were at Vincennes University and Ivy Tech. From the time Julie was 16, and for the past 47 years, she worked in home health care, nursing homes, and hospitals.
On September 16, 1995, at Vallonia Christian Church, Julie married David Armstrong, and he survives in Vallonia. Other survivors include her son, Aaron Armstrong; brothers: Kamron (Sarah) Wright of Fort Wayne, IN, Kurtis (Julie) Wright of Plattsmouth, NE, & Joshua (Jennifer) Wright of Lafayette, IN; brother-in-law, AJ Warner of Seymour, IN; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, and many dear friends.
Julie spent many hours creating flower gardens and was well known for her delicious holiday meals and sweets. She enjoyed playing games, hosting gatherings, taking family camping vacations, and relaxing in the sun by the lake, pool, and seaside. Her home is decorated with the many Native American artifacts and antiques that she loved collecting. She also loved caring for her cats.
A celebration of Julie's life will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Joe Jackson Hotel in Vallonia. The celebration will be open from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and all friends and family are invited to come and go as they please.
