AIKEN, SC – JUSTIN MARC OWEN, 36, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 7, 2022, in Augusta, GA.
Born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Justin was a son of Norman M. and Babette Owen. He grew up in Chapel Hill, NC and Hume, VA. Justin graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering. He received his Master’s from Augusta University. He was formerly Director of Medical Technology at Georgetown University before becoming Director of the Simulation Center at Augusta University.
Survivors include his wife, Ashley Menegos Owen; his daughter, Faith Elizabeth Owen (age 4); his parents, Norman and Babette Owen; his sister, Lindsay Owen; half-sister, Krista Pribilovics (Francis); half-brother, Todd Owen (Terri), all of Aiken. Justin was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his daughter, Ashley House Owen.
The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, October 17th beginning at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock in the chapel. The Rev. Danny Wilson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
