Kathleen Mary Geis, 80, of Fond du Lac, was born October 29, 1943 to Francis and Violet Wagner. Kathy passed peacefully surrounded by family at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
She is survived by her fiancé Dennis Mand (son of Germaine Schneider Mand and Gilbert Mand); her three children: Steven (Jenny) Geis, Trisha Lehman (Josh Gandy), and Jon (Suzanne) Geis. ; eight grandchildren: Jennifer (Jared) Borgwardt, Sadie (Blake) Climer, Emily (Chris) Richey, Hannah (Aaron) Koerten, Eddie (Leah) Geis, Skylar Geis, Sami Geis, and Amelia Geis; eight great grandchildren: Hayden Helmers, Adeline Richey, Delilah Richey, Cayde Climer, Ezra Climer, August Richey, Charlotte Geis, and Finley Borgwardt. She is further survived by her siblings: Roger (Janet) Wagner, Kristine (Larry) Kottke, and Jim (Diane) Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Violet Wagner, sister Marsha Davis and Marsha's son Paul.
Kathleen was an avid chef, quilter and crafter. She opened a fabric and quilting shop, Wool & Needle, with her friend Suzy Peterson Letourneau in downtown Fond du Lac. She had a passion for arts and crafts and would teach anyone willing to learn. Kathleen enjoyed spending time with those she loved, cooking the most amazing food, hand-dyeing wool, gardening, canning, and having her family and friends over on the porch to rock and enjoy the beautiful view of Lake DeNevue. Her biggest joy was watching all her babies grow and play, from her children to her great grandchildren.
A devoted fiancé, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, Kathleen was always taking care of everyone who crossed her path. You would never leave her house with an empty stomach. Her big heart was known to all; she gave us all a gift we know we can never repay. To know her was to love her. May she fly with her eagles and watch over us all.
Kathleen's family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hospice Home of Hope in Kathleen's name.
