Kathleen "Kathy" E. McNamee, 78, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Friendship Village, Chesterfield. She was the oldest child born to John and Colleen (Salter) Hoffmann. She grew up in St. Ann along with her seven siblings. Kathy attended St. Gregory Church and School and then graduated from Duchesne High School. She met her future husband, James McNamee, while both were working at the drive-in theater on St. Charles Rock Road. About three years later, on Aug. 20, 1966, they were united in Holy Matrimony at St. Gregory Church., St. Ann.
The couple continued to live in St. Ann. They were blessed with four children: Colleen, Maureen, Brian and Mike who were their pride and joy. In 1986, the family relocated to Troy, Missouri. She had worked as a teacher's aide for the Lincoln Cty. R-III School District and then also for Wentzville School District. Kathy took great pride in her work and loved helping the children.
Some of her pastimes included serving as a Eucharistic minister at Sacred Heart Church in Troy and helping whenever needed. She also belonged to the "Red Hats" Group and loved gardening. She was a sweet lady who was always willing to help others. Kathy cherished each and everyone of her family members.
Surviving are her loving children and spouses: Colleen (Bruce) Todd, Maureen (Tom) Bischan, Brian (Lena) McNamee, Mike (Jacki) McNamee; her adoring ten grandchildren; Nathan, Nick, Justin, Harry, Zach, Rylie, Amira, James, Alex, and Tyler. She is further survived by her siblings: Peggy Wherley, Gene (Tracy) Hoffmann, Mary (Brian) Begeman, Tess (Mike) Doll, Connie Hoffmann; beloved sister-in-law to the entire McNamee family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Mike McNamee, her parents, her brothers: John Hoffmann and James "Jimmy" Hoffmann and also her brother-in- law Richard (Dick) Wherley.
Visitation scheduled from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 (1636) 528-8244.
A Funeral Mass scheduled at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church, Troy, MO. Father Edward Voltz to officiate.
Interment to follow in Thornhill Cemetery, Troy. Memorials may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, c/o McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy.
