Passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Saginaw. Age 84 years. Kathleen A. Schulz was born on January 8, 1941, in Saginaw, to the late Walter G. and Emma E. (Kolhagen) Schulz. She was graduated from Saginaw High School in 1959. She was married to Robert Wiegand on June 18, 1960, in Saginaw and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. He survives her. Prior to her retirement, she had worked in the computer room at Michigan Bell. Kathleen was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church - Frankentrost, American Legion Post 22 Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, and sold Avon for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, fishing, the casino, and her dog, Daisy.
Surviving besides her husband, Robert, are two sons, Marty Wiegand, Michael Wiegand and dear friend, Chrissy Knezek; three grandchildren, Krysteena (Timothy) Mattingly, Michelle Wiegand (Jessica Guzman), and Nikkie (Donnie) Watson; seven great-grandchildren, Amelia Hammack, Gavin Hammack, Maleia Wiegand, Nevaeh Wiegand, Colton Fetz, Aliadh Fetz, and Camren Fetz; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother Wallace C. Schulz.
Funeral service will take place 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. 1218 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. Daniel A. Wojtowicz will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
