Kathryn Jean Sparrow, 66, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, born on January 23, 1959 to Lowell Becker and Geneva Mayhew and passed October 14, 2025 in Muskogee, OK with her family by her side.
Kathryn dedicated her career to helping others as a Pharmacy Technician with the Jack C Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she served with care and compassion until her retirement. Her kindness and generosity were evident in all she did. She had a heart for giving and found great joy in buying gifts for others.
She enjoyed shopping, traveling, trying new restaurants, and especially loved celebrating holidays and admiring decorations. Kathryn cherished her pets, Jax, Chloe, Gizzy, and Chester, and her greatest pride was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her strong will, intelligence, and sharp mind. She was giving, warm, and always willing to help those around her.
Kathryn will be remembered for her strength, independence, and the love she poured into her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and care that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sparrow; parents, Lowell Becker and Geneva Mayhew; and her grandparents, Jack and Ione Becker.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennie Salgado and husband, David, of Muskogee, OK; stepson Kevin Sparrow of Muskogee, OK, grandchildren; Dove Few and husband, Kyle, of Broken Arrow, OK; Esmerelda Salgado of Muskogee, OK; Giovanni Salgado of Muskogee, OK, Jose Salgado of Muskogee, OK, Uriel Salgado of Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico; and Ethan Cox of Muskogee, OK, sister, Linda Diane Karr of Clinton, IA, brother, Steven Becker of Ottumwa, IA, special friends, Lynda Hill and Kathie Lipe, extended family and friends who loved her deeply.
Kathryn's life will be celebrated 10AM, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Chaplain Cindy Culver officiating.
The family of Kathryn Jean Sparrow has entrusted her care, cremation, service and burial to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Muskogee. 918-910-8883.
